Yes, you may join at any point during the year. Membership is annual from January 1st to December 31st each year, regardless of when you join.
How many members are in the Chamber?
As of December 2011 there are over 200 members.
What are the fees associated with becoming a member?
2012 membership fees are $110 for new members and $85 for renewals.
I have more than one business. Do I need a membership for each business?
Yes. You must have a membership for each business you present, promote or advertise.
Is there a discount for Non-Profit Organizations?
Non-profit rate: $55 for new members and $42.50 for renewals.
ADVERTISINGCan I use the Chamber mailing list to send out an eblast to the membership?
No. We do not share our member list with individual members.
What advertising opportunities does the Chamber offer?

It may take a few days to get all your information entered and updated within our system. We are an all-volunteer chamber, working hard to grow our own businesses, while working diligently to update information as quickly as possible. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.

My contact information has changed. Who do I contact to update my information?
No one. Now you can update your information yourself once you set-up your member log-in on our new website. Once logged in, you will be able to update your business directory profile, contact information, logo and photos on your own. How can I promote my Business events and news to the Chamber members?
There are several ways you can promote your business events and news to our members. All members are welcome to come to the mixers, announce their events, and pass out marketing materials. In addition, our newly redesigned website offers a Calendar of Events page where members can post their events, a Job Listings page where members can post job opportunities or look for work, an Advertising Opportunities page where members can post links to advertising opportunities they have to offer fellow members, and a Member-to-Member Discounts page where you can offer special deals and discounts to fellow chamber members.
What do I need to do to use the Chamber’s Bulk Mail Permit?
Take advantage of the cost savings when you use the Chamber’s Bulk Mail Permit for your business bulk mailings. You will be required to fill out and bring in a few forms when you go to the Post Office. What is OneTopanga.com?
OneTopanga.com is Topanga’s new community website, created by the Topanga Town Council. It will serve as the central link to all of Topanga with a community calendar, local traffic, weather and surf, emergency information, a comprehensive list of local organizations and resources, business directory and much, much more to come. The Topanga Chamber of Commerce is proud to sponsor OneTopanga.com’s business directory.
What do I need to do to get my business listed on OneTopanga.com?
Nothing. All chamber members will automatically be listed on OneTopanga.com’s business directory.
Do I need to be a Chamber member to be listed on OneTopanga.com’s business directory?
No, you do not need to be a member of the Chamber to receive your free listing on OneTopanga.com. To request your free listing, click here and a chamber representative will assist you.
MIXERSCan I present my business at the Morning Mixer or Host an Evening Mixer?
All members who have attended at least three mixers can present or host a mixer. There must be at least 12 months since your last presentation. Please contact our Mixer Chair with your request.
Will I automatically get the date I request to present?
We will review all requests and let you know if that date or another date is available.
Is there a charge to present or host a mixer?
No. Unlike other Chambers, there is no charge to present or host a mixer.
What do I need to provide as the host of an evening mixer?
When you host an evening mixer, you will need to supply some light food and beverages for the attendees as well as arrange for adequate parking at the location. If adequate parking is not available, you will be responsible to arrange alternate parking options such as valet or shuttle service. Always consider partnering with a fellow chamber member as a co-host for these services.
What does it cost to attend a mixer?
All mixers are free of charge. If you want to eat breakfast at the morning mixer, the cold breakfast/juice/coffee is $3.00 and the hot egg breakfast is $6.00. Quite a deal!
Do I need to RSVP for the mixers?
No RSVP necessary. Just come and enjoy.
I have flyers I’d like to pass out. Can I bring them to the mixer?
Yes, all members are welcome to pass out marketing materials at the mixers.
I have a raffle item. What do I need to do to raffle it off at the morning mixer?
Please contact our Mixer Chair before the morning mixer and bring the raffle item to the mixer to give to the winner
What happens at the morning mixers?
At the morning mixer, we start by mingling with fellow members while everyone makes there way in. Then the formal meeting begins with Chamber announcements followed by 30-second business introductions from attendees. Our speaker of the month will give their presentation, answering any questions from the attendees before ending the meeting with a raffle. The advertising space at Pine Tree Circle and the Newsletter Spotlight are raffled off at each morning mixer.
What happens at the evening mixers?
Each evening mixer is hosted by a member business at their place of business or residence. These mixers mainly consist of informal networking with a brief presentation from the host. The featured spot on our home page is raffled off at each evening mixer.
