Adriana Lemus is the creator and owner of La Chingona Tacos, which offers catering services and the most awesome tacos and tasty accompaniments this side of Guatemala.  In Spanish, a Chingon or, in Adriana’s case, the feminine, Chingona, has many meanings from Extremely Awesome to someone who is Tops at what they do to a Bad Ass!   Yet, whatever the meaning they all apply to Adriana who hails from Petén, Guatemala, home of Tikal, Guatemala’s answer to Peru’s Machu Picchu, and settled in Topanga, California, one of Southern California’s few remaining islands of mountain beauty, peace and tranquility.  She is devoted to Topanga, where she spent 13 years serving the full range of Topanga characters at Claire Denis’ iconic Café Mimosa. “Mimosa gave me the chance to meet all of Topanga and serve this community I love,” says Adriana, “I’m excited to be able to combine my family heritage (that’s her Chingona mom on her card) with my love of Topanga.  La Chingona Tacos allows me to continue to be of service to my community and celebrate my culture and share my cooking.”  Adriana offers vegan, vegetarian, seafood and meat ingredients that are gluten and dairy free accompanied by a choice of Aqua Frescas and served on eco-friendly dishware and utensils.
